Recognise your start point

No matter where you are, you can always choose to start fresh. All it requires is clarity of intention followed by an honest willingness and an action plan to start afresh. If the first two are in place then an action plan is not very difficult. Often, we are stuck in ‘how to do things’ which overwhelms us and drains our energy. One of the best ways to align your energy with your goals is to ask the right questions. Asking the right questions gives your inspiration a direction. It allows you to give shape and structure to your ideas bringing them to life.

So, here are 3 powerful steps that will help you to recognise your new start point.

Step 1: Soak in the wave of inspiration

When that spark of inspiration visits you, soak in that powerful force of energy. Immerse yourself in it by asking the following questions:

  • What is it about this idea that really inspires me?
  • Will it add more value to what I am currently doing?
  • Is it something that will boost my creativity or bring me immense joy?
  • Does it really align with my aspirations?

By answering the above questions, you will be able to decipher what is important to you and articulate it for yourself. You will go beyond the gripping emotions of overwhelm or chaos. You will make space for your purpose to appear into your conscious mind. You will encounter your deepest aspirations. This will renew your energies to bring forth incredible momentum and give a whole meaning to your life.

Step 2: Setting up your intention

Once you have recognised that you would like to pursue the idea, it is time to set up an intention. Setting up intentions strengthens your focus leading to clarity. This will then align your choices with your ideas. It will propel you to take the necessary action. Distractions will cease to exist despite delays and detours.

After you have identified the idea you wish to pursue, declare your intentions to your conscious mind. To do so, ask yourself the following questions:

  • When you pursue it, what will it bring to your life?
  • How will your life change?
  • How will the change impact all areas of your life such as your career, lifestyle, relationships, and your mental, physical, emotional health?

By answering these questions you are embarking deeper into your vision and the values that drive you. Having clear understanding about your values reinforces courage to make tough decisions when you are at a crossroad in your journey. It will leave you empowered to make wiser choices.

Step 3: Shaping your systems and structures – Your action plan

Once you have declared your intentions, it is time to set up a system and structure to it. This becomes your action plan. To have efficient systems in place, one of the key things is to identify the areas of friction and reduce them. Create an environment that is dedicated to bring your idea and intention into this world. While you work on your mindset, support it with an external milieu. This will ensure that your ideas flourish and thrive. None of this is possible without dedication and commitment. So, this is the time to ask some tough and honest questions to yourself.

  • “What are you willing to do to birth this idea and how will you nurture it?
  • Are you willing to give time and how much time? Define it.
  • Are you willing to adopt a new mindset? How do you plan to do the necessary self-work? Break it down into steps that you will take every single day.

By doing this process you will realise whether this idea is really important to you or is it one of those inspirational moments that you are willing to let go and wait for another one to knock at your door sometime later?

I would suggest taking that step. Give yourself a chance because the pain of regret surpasses the pain of discipline. Do not let that spark of inspiration die out. Keep it alive, grow it by working on it.

Once you have your roadmap in front of your eyes and have defined the steps that you need to take, it is time to take the most awaited flight; the flight to your dreams into new possibilities and avenues that will unfold the champion in you.

Today take a moment to reflect and let yourself know that there is no right time for conscious beginnings. The only place where conscious beginnings start are in the “Now”
